love the handle, but brush sheds

I love the handle, and the brush looks great as a whole. I've been using it about 3 months now, and it sheds anywhere from 5 to 20 hairs per shave. I was expecting the shedding to stop after a couple weeks, but it shows no sign of slowing down. If it keeps up this brush will be sparse soon.

An excellent shaving brush - due to quality issues, I would not recommend purchasing it

I purchased the Simpson Chubby 2 Best Badger shaving brush from Fendrihan just over 2 years ago. I've used it 4-5 times per week for the past couple of years, and I love the way it lathers and completely covers my face with shaving soap. It is without a doubt the best shaving brush I have every used. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago I noticed a crack forming in the handle. As I've continued to use the brush, the crack keeps getting larger (see the photos). I have always taken good care of the brush, rinsing it and letting it air dry in an upright position on the bathroom counter. I have never dropped my brush. I was frustrated to learn that - despite the expensive price - there is no warranty provided with Simpson's shaving brushes, and they can only be returned within 30 days of purchase. Given the high price and the poor experience I've had, I can't recommend this brush.

A True Wet Shavers Brush!

This brush is simply amazing! I own many high end silvertips but this is an everyday work horse. If you're looking for that perfect shaving brush that has a nice big comfortable handle-and a perfect addition to your best high end brush collection then look no further! You definitely get your money's worth with the amount of badger hair and Yes it has a lot of backbone- but over time (two weeks or so) the brush softens up, and once you get used to the new lathering technique this brush you'll find is great with everything, soaps, creams, croaps etc. as long as you don't soak the brush (because it retains a lot of water and you'll get soap all over the handle which gets kinda slippery) you'll be making mountains of lather! -just go slow and let the brush do all the work :)

Invigorating

As advertised, the Chubby 2 is a bit stiffer than my other Rooney, Kent or smaller Simpsons brushes . It lathers well when presoaking only the tip third of the brush. I have not noticed any hair loss in the first three weeks of use.

Best Ever

Upon receipt , mind you a very fast delivery, when I opened the package I noticed that the brush shed like crazy (a handful per stroke!). I was about to return it. However, after a couple of use I hardly noticed any shedding. I rate this brush ''The Best Brush Ever Made".

Great Beard Shampoo
Was looking for a new beard shampoo and tried this out. It works really good on my long thick beard. Cleans great and leaves a very nice scent. I paired it with their beard oil and this combination works very nicely for me. Just ordered more.

Using is believing!
After ditching shaving oil (bad for the drain!) I needed another preshave, so tried this gel. I was a tad skeptical, but man, this stuff works, superbly. A little goes a long way, and helps provide an incredibly close and smooth shave. Worth every cent.

Whips up into a nice fluffy lather and smells like spearmint. I bought the 8oz jar and because you only need a small amount I surmise it will last a long time, good value I'd say. The crown after shave balms are awesome too.

It reminds of Crown After shave balm but with a different scent, a pleasant scent. It is non greasy, soaks in ******, has the witches of hazel in it and a little goes a long way. I'll buy it again when it runs out.

I like this product a lot. The bottle is very large, and the product is fairly concentrated. It lathers up very nicely so you don't need nearly as much as you'd expect from other shampoos. As a result, if you don't overdo it, this bottle should last you a very long time. It's a pleasant shampoo...I like this product a lot. Just the Nor'Easter storms, this soap comes with strength! But not just strength with its scent, but its later and shave too. I use a mug to build up the lather, adding a few drips of water at a time until the lather is thick yet moist. Lovely stuff. I love this metal pen. It absolutely minimized plastic waste and is really tough. This was a gift for my man but I carry mine everywhere in its metal case and use the refillable plunger ink cartridge. Love.
