Good badger

Bought for my vacation kit. Typical Simpsons high quality. Takes a a bit of getting used to (I’m comparing to my super Badger) as it seems to hold more water close to the base. I find a shake before dipping bristle tips into cream takes care of that.

I don't get the hype.

This is my first Simpsons brush and I wanted to give it a good month of use before reviewing; I purchased it after reading how fantastic these brushes are but honestly, I don't get it. The brush is nice and thick, that is a plus, and the small knot suits me well, but other then that I don't think it is any better then my Grutti pure badger which was half the price. It isn't any softer and I find it doesn't lather as well as the Grutti, and the lather it does make seems to run down the inside of the knot, down the handle and onto my hand. It isn't the water amount, I have tried it several ways, no difference. The Grutti holds the lather on the tips. I will admit it is a well made brush and should last years and years, but it hasn't been a home run for me.

Little engine that could

Wanted a Simpson and this price point eased the pain. My curiosity got the better of me and I wanted to check out the highly regarded maker. A fantastic brush, perfect size for my face lathering preferences. Well balanced, less scritch than my only other badger, soft in fact from the get go. Plush comes to mind. Very happy with this purchase.

Packs a punch

There is more to this little guy than meets the eye. I bought it as a travel brush but it works just fine as a daily - densely packed, works well on hard soaps and creams.

Great Beard Shampoo
Was looking for a new beard shampoo and tried this out. It works really good on my long thick beard. Cleans great and leaves a very nice scent. I paired it with their beard oil and this combination works very nicely for me. Just ordered more.

Using is believing!
After ditching shaving oil (bad for the drain!) I needed another preshave, so tried this gel. I was a tad skeptical, but man, this stuff works, superbly. A little goes a long way, and helps provide an incredibly close and smooth shave. Worth every cent.

Whips up into a nice fluffy lather and smells like spearmint. I bought the 8oz jar and because you only need a small amount I surmise it will last a long time, good value I'd say. The crown after shave balms are awesome too.

It reminds of Crown After shave balm but with a different scent, a pleasant scent. It is non greasy, soaks in ******, has the witches of hazel in it and a little goes a long way. I'll buy it again when it runs out.

I like this product a lot. The bottle is very large, and the product is fairly concentrated. It lathers up very nicely so you don't need nearly as much as you'd expect from other shampoos. As a result, if you don't overdo it, this bottle should last you a very long time. It's a pleasant shampoo...I like this product a lot. Just the Nor'Easter storms, this soap comes with strength! But not just strength with its scent, but its later and shave too. I use a mug to build up the lather, adding a few drips of water at a time until the lather is thick yet moist. Lovely stuff.
