The best of The best

This is my first review and purchase on fendrihan so this review will be for the merkur Futur set and fendrihan website. First, about me. I'm new to wet shaving. I've been shaving with cartridge razor since my first shave, thinking that I couldn't treat my face with a better care than with 6 blades. After years (I'm not that old tho.. 20) trying to avoid shaving, hating it, I went for the electric razor and a beard. The shave was ok, the beard was nice, everything was fine, until I spent 70$ on an electric razor with a vacuum. It was always the same - good but never good enough. I was thinking that I would spend my life looking on Google, seing myself writing : Best Razor for 2046. Anyway.. I did try again and wrote : best razor for 2016. Scrolling through all those fusion proglide, electric, vibrating, lifting and ******* hair, auto-washable.. until, at the end of the page was this little beauty. The Merkur Futur. It suddenly hit me. I had heard of "one blade razor" but always though it was like a cartridge razor with one blade. So basically, the website was saying something like: the closest shave you'll have, and adjustable. I surfed the internet to finally find Fendrihan. So about the set now. Well it's a Merkur Futur, it comes with one merkur blade which is nice. Brush is a badger silvertip (if you don't know, silvertip means that the hairs are from the neck of a badger, in winter. You can't have better). The only downside of the brush is that it depends of the stand. You can't put it on its base since it is rounded. without a stand, the brush would have a hard time to dry. The bowl is nice and the overall is sturdy and looks really good . I sometime put it in the living room when someone is coming at my place because.. why not? It looks so damn good. If youre new to wet shaving like me, an adjustable is the best, but the Futur does not forgive a lot. I didn't use it before I received my styptic (it's called "My nik is sealed", I recommend it) because I was too scared to rip my face off. My girlfriend used it before me for her legs. She didn't even care that it was a D/E razor, she just put it on her leg and begun to shave with an ease, and finished without a nick and no ingrown hair appeared after. I recommend this set to anyone, and at the end, you'll probably save a lot of money since blades cost almost nothing compared to cartridge blade. As for fendrihan. I just love it. Shipped and received within 3 days, everything was wrapped in a thin paper individually. The care that they put is just outstanding. I contact the customer service for an emergency with my purchase (took the polished one (this one) but preferred the matte one (only a preference)) and they changed it in a second. I contacted them after because I bought the set before creating an account and therefore, didn't receive any fendrihan point, and they correct it in a second. It is an awesome website with an awesome service and with the refund system, I just can't not say: Buy it, you can't go wrong ! -Highly recommended it-

DOVO Merkur Futur 4-Piece Classic Wet-Shaving Set, Polished Finish

Excellent! Solid, balanced with a good heft. Fully adjustable and simple to change blades. The brush is silver tip badger and is full and thick. The soap dish only holds smaller sizes. The stand is solid and stable. Quality that you would expect from Dovo/Mercur. Highly recommended!
