Some like it rough

This brush is not for those with sensitive scalps. Nylon bristles do stick out and can feel quite aggressive. Some of us prefer that though. I also have Fendrihan's regular wooden black lacquered version however one reason I purchased this one supplementarily is that it's infinitely easier to clean due to the resin handle especially if you have a greasy bucket of a scalp. To be fair there are some finishing issues with said handle.

Nylon bristles on this brush are the worst thing ever

This is my second purchase of Fendrihan brushes, my first brush was a large Beechwood boar bristle and Nylon and that one is absolute heaven so I decided to buy one more to have at work, as I have below waist hair length and it gets tangled easily, but since that one is sold out, I went over the selection to see what else there was from Fendrihan. I bought Fendrihan Oval Hair Brush with Boar Bristles and Nylon Pins and it arrived within 2 days from Ontario and this is where my good experience ends. This brush has a very bad quality finish of nylon pins. The ends of the nylon pins seem to be very damaged by the processing and cutting processes, so much so that they feel and look serrated and they snag and pull the hair vary badly, and on the picture you can clearly see that the point of the nylon pin breaks off (and you can only imagine how much it hurts when the hairs get in between those broken pin end and the others that seem to be toothed, serrated at the top). I paid over 40 CAD + 10 for shipping so I was determined to use it so I took a nail clipper and trimmed down the badly serrated nylon tops, so now it's not fixed, but it's usable, just not very pleasant on the scalp. However it is a huge improvement from what I got originally. Still, what I'm left with (for my 50+ CAD) is a bitter disappointment. I would certainly not recommend buying this if you'd like to keep all your hair.

Great item!

This brush feels so good on my scalp that I’m able to brush my hair for longer time than I normally would and I’ve since noticed significant regrowth in thinning spots at my hairline along with great shine and softness throughout the length of my hair. I would have given this brush 5 stars except that it arrived with a crack in the finish on the back of the brush.
