You know how all the beard oil descriptions all seem to say something like "not your average beard oil"? Well, that's an apt descriptor for this one... and not in a good way. The product has the consistency of honey. If you want to fill the plunger, you need to squeeze and actually hold that for a few seconds, until you see a bubble of air glub to the top. Otherwise, the air you've plunged out will get ****** right back in. The product evacuates the plunger in slow, giant drops that don't really lose their shape when they rest in your hand. Then, when you start emulsifying the stuff, it becomes impossibly slick and shiny. The first three ingredients on the ingredients list are Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, and Phenyl Trimethicone. All silicone. The oils come next: Aleurites Moluccanus (aka. candlenut) Seed Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, and Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil - does any actual beard oil even use these? They are followed by a fragrance ingredient (synthetic musk) that I am unable to detect. Yes, this stuff is just about as cheap as it gets, and we all know how rationality flies out the window in the face of a great deal. But this stuff is four times the price it should be.

Thick but not zesty

Meh. My beard was dry and frizzy, and now it's ... maybe not quite as dry and frizzy, but I'm really not noticing that much difference. It's also my first-ever time using beard oil so I didn't know what to expect. It says to use just a drop or two and distribute it all through my beard, but it's really viscous. Like honey, almost. So I'm not sure I'm getting the whole beard in one application. Fendrihan's service and shipping rocks, however. As usual.

I bought this after many (too many) years of my husband trying so many other beard oils in his lifetime. He and I were always unsatisfied with the qualities of others. it was important to us to find a Canadian company, and now my husbands beard looks and feels so much thicker and healthier, and strong; soooo many less beard hairs being lost from malnourishment prior. thank you for such a great product!
